We’ve all experienced the time when someone has been using our portable staging, and unfortunately they have not treated the staging legs with the care you do. We know staging riser legs are fragile when in the storage state and this is often the time when damage occurs. It could be when they were stored on their side, and someone has accidentally stepped on the rods, or put a heavy item on top of the legs in storage or stage transit.
Well don’t worry, replacing stage parts for stage legs or repairing the parts is quite easy and wont take you too long either.

Watch our tutorial videos, which walk you through the steps needed to repair your stage legs. The video on this page relates to changing the most awkward stage part for many. The “black nylon block”. This part can be a pain to replace depending on the brand of riser you have. If your stage legs are more than 2 years old, its likely that you have the older version “screw pins”, these are difficult to extract from the black block, and you simply cannot get some of them out. If this occurs, watch the video for tips on the next steps to repair the stage legs.
If you can get the pin out, and extract it from the black block, then your in business, and replacing the black block and the riser leg scissor section is pretty quick and easy. These are the two parts that the screw pin relates to.

Do these parts fit intellistage staging too
No, Im afraid not all the parts fit the intellistage risers too. Youll need to get the parts from your supplier, but follow the same instructions to fit them as in the video

Are revostage and nexgen the same
The revostage stage system has locks on the deck platforms, that can be attached to our Nexgen staging, but they are not the same, so they cannot be mixed and matched.
For instance if you have a NexGen Riser and Deck, you can attach the revostage riser and deck to the NexGen one. However a Revostage riser cannot be effectively used with NexGen platform. Hope that makes more staging sense.

You talk about adjust the height of the risers in your staging repair video, can you give more detail on how the NexGen risers do that?
Yes, the NexGen riser has an adjustable location thumb, which allows for small adjustments in height. This feature allows you to raise the height of sides of the deck to suit, and small uneven floor points. It worth noting this is a feature to make small (up to 5mm height adjustments), the stage system is still designed to be used on flat level surfaces.

You talk about adjusting the height of the risers and staging platforms in your staging repair video, can you give more detail on how the NexGen risers do that?
Yes, the NexGen location pillars have precision height adjustment thumb screws. Our tech team realised that staging users faced a problem with uneven floors from time to time. This usually occurred in only one or two positions, across the whole area of the stage, making the staging bouncy in some areas.
This happens because the deck platform effectively lifts the riser leg nodes from, or the riser sits in an indent in the floor, in those areas, and because the riser legs systems have a small amount of flexibility in them, they create a bouncy stage in those areas.
To solve this, we added this feature of being able to adjust each corner of the staging riser leg system, anywhere on the portable staging, so a precision adjustment can be made to any corner of any set of staging legs.
The location pillars are a standard M10 fit, and the thumb screw sits within the deck platform until unscrewed, therefore raising the height of the deck platform to the required millimeter adjustment.
Is the NexGen staging system made in the UK?

Can portable staging be used choir configurations?
Staging for choirs usually comes in either 1m squares or 520mm rectangles. The quick way to decide what you need, is to decide whether you perform stood up only, or both stood and seated. If both you need the 1m squares, to allow for seats, and enough room on the staging for members to access the seats.
Our staging allows for 2 perople per metre, so you can work out the amount of platforms you need as such:
5m wide = 10 people
3 tiers = 30 people + 10 on the floor = 40 people.
