Repair tired staging deck platforms
We are often asked if its possible to repair staging and refurbish deck platforms that are either tired, or just really old, to save from throwing them away.
In some cases the answer if yes. Its always possible to re-carpet decks with fresh carpet, when its become torn, frayed or is coming away from the plywood on the deck surface.
However you’ll notice the following things tend to re-occur with most deck platforms: the locks can get stuck, or the Allen key hole gets rounded off, the locking cleats on the deck sides fail, and in some cases the decks get locked together.

Did you know? If you have old stage deck platforms, its highly likely the locks are the only thing stopping you from using them. Instead of repairing the staging, you can purchase our NexGen riser, which don’t require locks, making your staging decks usable once more. Drop us a line and we can explain further. They are available from mid December
Will I be able to get the pins out of revostage risers too?
Not the old revostage riser version as the pins are push fitted. The newer version however is a screw pin and with a bit of manipulation you should be able to get it out, to replace the aluminium poles.

Can portable staging be used with height restrictions?
How do choir configurations lock together?
We have a new Church we would like a portable staging but it has a cobbled floor, can you help?
There are only two real options for you. Place leveling mats in the area prior to placing the staging down, or have a bespoke joiner make a stage to suit.
NexGen staging is designed for level floors, there is up to 4mm height adjustment possible, BUT, its likely that wouldn’t be enough to take out the un-evenness of the cobbles. Sorry.

Is Nexgen portable staging strong enough to take a piano?
Yes, but you’ll need metal plates under the piano legs to increase the area of the point load. We can arrange those for you.
Portable staging comes in different heights but can we have our own bespoke height?
Yes, we can make any height platform upto 1200mm but, there are bespoke tooling costs. Drop us a line about bespoke portable staging.
Can we connect safety rails to your portable staging?

Will NexGen portable staging fit in our car boot?
Yes, assuming you have a family car size. The width is 1000mm at the max, so just check your car first before ordering. Most cars can accept that width even if you have to angle them or put the back seats down. Thats the beauty of NexGen portable staging. it stores and transports in such a small space.
